Library

Library Access for those with a ‘significant print disability’ has been re structured in Hampshire. Adults over 18 need a Hampshire County Council Disability Card as proof of their needs. These can be obtained from Adult Services Tel: 0845 603 5630 or by email: adultservices@hants.gov.uk. The card will entitle them to Concessionary Audio-Visual membership. This means that 2 DVDs/Music CDs/Games or Audio Books can be borrowed for free at any one time.

Young people under 18 can also join the scheme but will need to download a letter to be signed by a Headteacher or Doctor. This letter and more details can be found at http://www3.hants.gov.uk/library/using-the-library/library-concessions.htm

Print Disabled membership is for those ‘unable’ to read printed books. No documentary proof is needed for this membership.
